I founded a company called FlareRocket.


【Mission】

FlareRocket is a startup based in the United States developing a nuclear fusion rocket capable of flying 100 times faster than existing rockets. Our mission is to deepen humanity’s understanding beyond the solar system. We are building space infrastructure that enables exploration of the outer solar system by traveling faster, more efficiently, and more affordably — all to discover new laws of the universe.


【Why do it?】

In high school, my earth science teacher told me:


"The universe is expanding. However, humanity’s travel speed is negligible compared to the rate of cosmic expansion. There is a high chance that humanity will become extinct before we understand the universe beyond the solar system."


I was convinced this was wrong.

To truly understand the universe more deeply, unimaginably high speeds are fundamentally necessary.


While we respect the wisdom of our predecessors, we do not intend to accept their theories uncritically. Although special relativity and Maxwell’s electromagnetism define light as the ultimate speed limit in the universe, this too is likely incorrect.


One day, humanity will travel through a universe that transcends the very concept of speed.

To know that universe, it is essential to know the farthest reaches of space — the regions beyond the solar system.


As the first step, we aim to develop rockets that achieve speeds 10 to 100 times faster than conventional chemical rockets, establishing means to explore the outer edges of the solar system.


These technologies will not only facilitate deep space exploration but will also make exploration of planets closer to Earth far safer, more efficient, and more affordable.


Speed is the very magic of the modern space industry.

  I barely attended university.  At 18, I touched a computer seriously for the first time, and for the next two years, I was consumed by personal projects. My Calling

  On a whim, I visited the UK. As I was walking through a beautiful town, I was unexpectedly approached by an elderly Japanese couple. “You radiate an incredible energy,” they told me. Over dinner with them, our conversation drifted from the fact that I am developing a nuclear fusion rocket in the United States, to my efforts to release my own attachments and fears, to the way I try to move with the natural flow, create miracles, and maintain a sense of connection with the universe. We spoke of how the universe within the mind shapes the universe in reality. As we talked, I quickly came to understand the traumas and attachments they had carried for years—and that they still could not completely let go, leaving them with lingering regrets. I shared many things with them, but in the end, I told them: “Someone like me will release the attachments, fears, and pains for people like you.
